Check out my recipe for making glazed carrots using your Ninja Foodi Grill!
The Ninja Foodi Smart XL Pro Grill and Griddle has a griddle attachment that works perfectly for making glazed carrots! It's quick, it's easy, there's hardly any cleanup and there's less butter/oil used.

This recipe was made using the Ninja® Foodi® Smart XL Pro Grill & Griddle, but any griddle can be used for this recipe.
I make these carrots ALL THE TIME! Usually, I make them in a pan on the stove. But, using the griddle feature of the Ninja Foodi Grill worked out really well.
My favorite thing about these glazed carrots is the way that the carrots really sweeten up and turn a little brown on the edges when they are cooked.

I usually find myself "taste testing" them as they are cooking. If you're like me and do the same thing, you might want to make a few extra carrots!
Glazed carrots are great for a quick weeknight meal or they can even be served alongside a beautiful roast, ham, or turkey for the holidays.

Tips for making Ninja Foodi Grill Glazed Carrots
I prefer to use full-sized, peeled carrots for this recipe. It's fairly important to cut the carrots into uniformly sized slivers so that they all cook evenly in the same amount of time. You can use baby carrots, but it will be harder to cut them into slivers.
Yes! You can make glazed carrots the day before you plan on serving them. However, I would recommend cooking them for a few minutes less than you would if you were planning on eating them right away. To reheat them, just microwave them until warm.
Carrots are quite healthy for you to eat. They are high in fiber, vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin K, and calcium. Carrots are said to reduce your risk for diabetes, strengthen bones, and help your eyesight. Be careful though, eating too many carrots on a regular basis can start to make your skin turn orange.
Technically, no. But I HIGHLY recommend that you do so. If you don't preheat the griddle, you will start out by cooking on a cold surface. The griddle will not properly sear and brown whatever it is cooking.
Yes. You will need to use a small amount of butter or oil to allow the carrots to brown properly and release from the griddle easily. I prefer to use butter and Olive oil for this recipe. The butter adds a nice flavor and allows the carrots to caramelize nicely. I add the Olive oil so that the butter doesn't burn.

Ingredient substitutions and tips for making Ninja Foodi Grill Glazed Carrots
The full ingredient list is found at the bottom of the post in the recipe card.
Carrots-Large full-sized carrots. Peeled and slivered. Parsnips would be a great substitute but would need a longer cooking time.
Butter- Salted butter was used but any butter or butter substitute can be used.
Olive Oil-Any type of mild-tasting cooking oil can be used. You will be able to taste the oil so be sure to use one that has a mild flavor to it.
Garlic-Minced- fresh or jarred can be used. Adjust the amount based on your own preference.
Honey- Maple syrup or brown sugar can be used instead. If using brown sugar, be sure to allow the brown sugar to dissolve fully before serving.
Salt and Pepper-Adjust amounts according to taste.
